Email Notifications currently disabled.
Bad news. My webhost has decided that the plugin I use to send the email notifications to registered members when a new entry is posted to a category they are subscribed to violates their Anti spam Policy & have therefore disabled my email. Unfortunately there is no other plugin or script that does comply with their policy that will do what the current plugin does, and I do not have the knowledge or skill to be able to edit it myself, so I have had no choice but to temporarily deactivate the feature.
I’m not having much luck with this site lately, am I? I am starting to seriously question if it is worth the time and effort for so little reward.
The options I have now, as far as I can see, are to either simply leave the plugin disabled and no longer offer email notifications on new posts as a feature of RealityTVFan.org. Or find a new webhost that doesn’t have such a strict policy & move everything over, I have several domains hosted on my current account though so this would not only be a massive expense, it would also be a massive hassle.
Oh well, I will work something out I am sure. I will keep you updated but for now you will not be receiving new emails from the site. Sorry for the inconvenience.
