Romance Novels

I think I have said it before, but I don’t mind saying it again…I love to spend time out to read good Romance Novels whenever I can. There’s just something so escapist and cosy about it, I love nothing more than to snuggle up either on the sofa or in bed and just read and read and read for as long as my eyes will let me! The more outlandish and as far removed from my own life the story is, the better. And if there’s some raunchy stuff thrown in there, all the better :) Some writers I really enjoy include Joan Bramsch, Mills and Boon and Patricia Scanlan! The last romance novel I read was ‘Finishing Touches’ by Patricia Scanlan, an old one that’s been out for a long long time, but a blooming good one, I really enjoyed it. The next book on my ‘must read’ list is ‘Mirror, Mirror’ by the same author which is newer and comes highly recommended by a friend of mine, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it…in fact…that’s what I am going to go and do right now, it’s cold outside, I am feeling sleepy and snuggling up under my duvet with a good romance book right now is my idea of heaven :)

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here – Episode # 2

Bush Tucker Trials:

Every day one of the celebrities is chosen to do a bushtucker trial. The bushtucker trials give the celebrities a chance to win food for the camp by collecting stars in various challenges. In most cases, each star is worth one meal for the camp. These challenges have included: Eating Aboriginal delicacies (such as tomatoey grubs), eating kangaroo genitalia, getting covered in various bugs and Paragliding whilst trying to catch stars. One of the most famous events on the UK version was when Paul Burrel put his hand thorough many different holes containing various nasty creatures (in the 2004 edition). Many people who do badly on the trials feel bad for their group, ashamed that the group is hungry. However, series 6 contestant Scott was defiant, apparently not caring at his abysmal trials, although his group went hungry. Occasionally, e.g. on Thursdays in UK Series 6 and 7, there were two Bushtucker Trials on the Highlight show one pre recorded from the bay before and another live. The last 3 celebrities to remain in the jungle, all have to do a Bushtucker Trial on their last day.
