Interested in short stories?
I came across an interesting project earlier today, this website creates Weekly Shorts and asks it’s readers to submit some basic information about themselves followed by a character name, whether they are human or other and their favourite genre, they will then write up a short story, post it and link to the person who submitted. Nice idea, and it’s neat that the long term eventual plan is to have enough short stories to create an actual full book. Why not go ahead and read some of the stories, or even submit yourself – you never know one day it could become the next ‘best seller’ and your name will be up in lights 
I personally like this story that is already on the site a lot: The Fisherman’s daughter initially just because I was so amused with the unique character name of Amygdala, but it’s also very touching and the surprise at the end is that there isn’t a last minute twist.
