Why not GetPaidToTry?

I have mentioned before that I am always looking for way to make money online, through blogs, cashback deals, gambling etc – so when I heard about GetPaidToTry.com I thought I would check it out – the registration pages explains that if you sign up you can earn money by completing surveys and sampling new products and services, they boast that unlike most of these kinds of sites they pay you fast…not in weeks or even months after you request your payment from them.

The first thing you see after registering is a note to let you know you can earn $20 there and then by completing 10 tasks – the tasks mainly include signing up to their partner sites, all of which are totally free. Once you are done with that you are in and you can see all the available offers – these tend to have higher payouts, as much as $25, but require you to take out free trials or place small orders etc. You can also bump up your earnings by referring new members, you get .50c for every one who signs up using your personal link. They also have forums where you can discuss the offers with other users, this is always something I look for when joining this kind of site – member feedback is very important.

Big Brother 9 UK – Evictee # 4 on Big Mouth

Here’s the fourth evictee from the Big Brother 9 UK house on Big Mouth with host Caroline Flack – for the 2nd week in a row I actually found this better than the main Davina interview. I don’t expect Davina to rip the evictees to pieces, but she’s far too soft on them – she rarely challenges them on any of their bad behaviour, and when she occasionally does she just nods along and agrees with whatever nonsense they come out with to explain it. Any way, enjoy.

Long Way Down on the Big Screen

Did you watch Ewan McGregor’s Long Way Down, the show where Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman travel from Scotland to Capetown on their motorcycles? My dad was really into it – every time I was round at his he seemed to be watching it and talking to me about it, it was several weeks before I decided I might as well just watch it myself as I was getting the blow by blow run down from him each week any way. I am glad I did because I ended up thoroughly enjoying it.

I hate traveling myself, so the idea of doing it for the fun and adventure and challenge is a foreign concept to me. The longest journeys I have ever been on was when I was younger and we used to go visit my Gran in the highlands of Scotland twice a year – from start to finish the journey took around 12 hours, it’s not even like I was the one doing the driving, but I still hated it. I think I’d appreciate the scenery a lot more as an adult though, and if I were to see scenery like those guys did on the show I could be sold to take on my own smaller big adventure.

Back to the reason I am writing this post though…I just found out that on July 31st there’s a special one night only big screen showing of Long Way Down across selected theaters throughout the country – now that sounds neat. Tickets are on sale now, and if there were any screenings nearer to me I’d be getting 2 booked for me and my dad :)

Big Brother 9 UK – Eviction # 4

Tonight it’s time to find out who will be the fourth evictee from the Big Brother 9 UK house, who will face Davina in the pouring rain tonight? Also we see a somewhat unexpected relationship develop into something more than ‘just friends’ and Davina leaves us with the mother of all teasers at the end of the show. Enjoy.
