I just heard that the 1980s classic thriller WarGames is coming back, well sort of…for one night only it’s being shown on the big screen across America on July 24th to celebrate it’s 25 year anniversary and a sequel is finally being made for it, which you can catch a sneak peak of at the event.
My favourite films of the decade were the more quirky ones, like BeetleJuice and Drop Dead Fred, though Drop Dead Fred was technically from the 90s as it was released in 1990 I think – gosh this makes me feel so old. The ultimate in 80s films though was undeniably the Back to the Future trilogy, who could ever forget Marty McFly, The DeLorean and that scene at the end with the clock tower and the lightning bolt!
