The Biggest Loser UK 2009 – Finale
So here it is, the big finale. I would love to hear everyone’s opinion on the series — I know there was a lot of talk about how these guys had not done as well as in the USA and Aus versions and that not enough information was given about the diets they were on but I have found it to be a lot more realistic and thoroughly enjoyable over all. I would love to see it come back for another series with a higher budget and prime time slot

I enjoyed it, although it was a bit slower and the contestants didn’t stay as long. In the finale, Carol, Kevin and Sadie looked really great. The rest of the contestants were not as transformed.
The Aussie version is, by far, the best! I watched all of those and really loved them. Thanks for uploading all of these, they gave me many hours of great entertainment!

It’s funny. At the beginning of this series, I was highly critical of it. The production was awful for so many reasons. Also, at the beginning, I really didn’t like any of the contestants.
But as I stuck with it, there were things I began to appreciate. There some things about this show that other countries don’t address (like injuries). Also, the US and Aussie version are notorious for dragging things out with repeated footage, repeated confessionals, etc (including a finale that feels like it goes on forever) whereas the UK weekly eliminations and the finale were done efficiently.
Carol looked stunning. Kevin looked freaking amazing. I grew to like these two and am so glad they have changed their lives.
I really do hope future UK versions will be produced better and be in primetime as well.
I, too, want to thank you for posting these shows. Coming here to watch was faster and more convenient than downloading torrents. Thank you!

Thank you for posting these! I agree with what was said above. 1. I was highly critical of it in the beginning but the show really grew on me. However I do like the one show a week format a lot better.
2. i think it is more realistic than the aussie and the american show.
3. it is not as long drawn as the Us and the aussie versions with the repititions.
However my favourite version is by far the us version, can’t wait for the next season in september – biggest loser US 8. Also i really like Jillian and Bob.
thank again for posting these! You do an amazing job!

Can you help please?
Is there any way that I can download the finale to my computer? My friend has been following this and missed the last episode (had to go to the vet to have her dog put to sleep). I’d like to download it to my laptop so I can take it round for her to watch. Unfortunately she doesnt have broadband to be able to set it up for itv player at her house.
Your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Julie,
Probably the easiest thing you could do is simply download the YouTube videos.
There is free software that will download them:
http://www.vdownloader.es/
Once you have the software installed, have it open and then go to the YouTube page containing the video you want to download. Once you are on that page, copy the URL and paste it into the software. It will download the YouTube video by converting it into an .avi file you can play on your computer.

Thank you so much for posting these episodes.I have enjoyed the UK version and found many good things about it which outweigh the production issues. Being in the U.S., I truly appreciate the weekly versions of the show since you learn more about the contestants and the trainers. Also, the UK version was only 16 weeks from start to finale (8 on campus and 8 during the airing) where the U.S. show was 18 weeks on campus and then quite a few weeks before the finale. So they had lots of time to drop additional weight.
My positive thoughts are as follows:
1. The challenges were interesting and so were the temptations.
2. The medical information was very helpful since it showed that these contestants do get hurt.
3. The trainers did not tolerate the whining and that was a welcome element.
4. There wasn’t as much focus on gameplay as on the U.S. show. When there was, it usually backfired on those playing.
5. Richard and Angie gave great ideas for fitness throughout the show which could be used easily at home.
6. Finally the recaps were kept to a minimum and that was really a good thing. The eliminations were pretty simple as well.
Hope your new computer keeps you in the business here for a long time!

Katie needs to go back to her black hair…she looks stupid with that hair.
I'm very happy with the top 4.

I've seen all the US series and somehow missed the UK ones so it was great to watch them here – thanks
i liked this more than the US version – as people have said there was much less gameplay and that meant everyone was (mostly) helping each other out and the trainers had far less rivalry and their prime concern seemed to be getting the contestants fit and healthy no matter whose team they were on, which is as it should be i think.
also the lack of product placement was great – the fakeness of everyone sitting around just happening to be chatting about how great Jello is was very annoying!

Can you believe the way they look!
What an amazing trandformation they have been through, I hope that they are able to keep it up!
So are Myriam and Mark together or was that all just fat friendship?
An amazing season here, i cried in amazement most of the way through! Thanks!!
