Sleevenotes for music fans
Earlier, I came across a website called 991.com – a specialist in Deleted Records, CDs, Rare Vinyl Records and Memorabilia that has an expert team of professional buyers at your service to track down that “Missing piece” or “One you haven’t got”. I thought I’d give it a go to see if they had something my other half would love to own and a simple search of the easy to navigate site for ‘Creep’ lead me straight to the ‘Creep – Original Issue’ I was looking for, pretty impressive. And if they don’t already have what it is you seek – such as the ‘Drill EP’ by Radiohead which was the very very first thing the band ever officially released, they’ll scour the globe to track it down for you.
Pretty neat service.
They also run a Blog about Collecting Rare Vinyl 7″, 12″ called Sleevenotes which makes for an interesting read and aims to highlight some of the best rarities available as well as keep you up to date on all current music releases. The blog is updated on a regular basis, at least daily, and is a great and informative resource for all fans of collecting and Vinyl in general.
