Site News: Changes
I am amazed how many people who stream TV shows online are still unaware of the current issues related to SOPA and the backlash from Megavideo being shut down. The amount of comments and emails I am getting telling me “The videos are broken, can you fix please?” is staggering 
Sadly more and more video hosts are closing, deleting content or changing their policies to prevent shows being uploaded. Firstly Megavideo, then VideoBB and VideoZer quickly followed – those were the three main hosts I used here at RealityTVFan.org. The alternatives I choose were Novamov, Putlocker and Rapidshare. Putlocker announced they were closing at the start of this month (they don’t appear to have done so, but their future is very uncertain), Novamov have deleted all existing content and limited new uploads to 300mb (most TV shows are 350mb so this is clearly an attempt to stop people uploading shows there) and countless other video hosts have already or will soon be doing similar.
I have no doubts that things will get better and new ‘Megavideos’ will emerge when things settle down, but unfortunately for now RealityTVFan.org is going to have to change as well.
Please understand I don’t want to make these changes but they are necessary for numerous reasons.
* From now on there will be no Dailymotion uploads.
* Dead links will not be updated – so make sure you watch shows as soon as you can.
* Videos will no longer be embedded – they will be linked to.
* All currently airing shows will be completed with the exception of Dancing on Ice.
* I can’t make any promises about which video host(s) will be used, it’ll be a case of getting the link(s) any where I can (so telling me “Aww that host doesn’t work for me, can you post from another host instead” won’t get us any where, if you can’t get a certain host working for some reason contact them, google, try different browsers etc – work it out).
Thanks to every one who has visited this site over the last 5 years – RealityTVFan.org is not closing or going any where, we are just rolling with the punches and waiting things out until they return to ‘normal’.

She uploads TBLAus to dailymotion then embeds them here, so I'm taking from this post that she won't continue doing that. As in we won't be able to keep watching….but perhaps play catch up later?
Someone pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry I mean she won't upload to DM – or embed here. So she won't be able to link to the vids from here because she won't have uploaded them to DM in the first place.

I have had no problem getting to the programs, Sure it's a pain, to go to the alternate sites,' cause they have the pop ups and "close the ad", rec. I just close the ad's as soon as they pop up then watch. You might want to warn your viewers to not click the DOWNLOAD or HD buttons, just use the arrow at the bottom of the player when going to the alternate sites. Thank you for the years of viewing pleasure you have shared.

There are 2 video hosts sites similar to Megavideo and very popular in Europe at the moment: Mixture Video (offers the choice of watching in High Def. or not) and PureVid (not accessible in the US but very good image and sound quality). Both sites are getting larger by the seconds because uploaders are working hard at it. And, the suscriptions are less expensive by half than what they were on Megavideo and VideoBB. So my dear uploader friends, from now on why not use Mixture Video and make life easier for us all?

What about we divide the labor? If someone can download a particular show and put it in Dropbox with an email, than other users can than email that person and he can invite them to share it on Dropbox, than maybe realitytvfan can give us a place to notify other users that we are putting that particular show in our dropbox for others to see. For example, I successfully downloaded episode one of Ru Paul’s Drag Race 4. I would be happy to put it in a Dropbox and share the file for others to see. If I can download Survivor or Amazing Race I would do the same.

You give me content from around the world..I love it and appreciate it.
I pay my cableTV company the same every month that I pay my internet provider. I chose to watch the shows I want on the internet. I could cancel my cable tv account anytime. ( I hate commercials). Tv stations offer their content online within days of airing episodes same as online
but you offer reality tv from around the world
.I absolutely love all the Aus content.. They have to be the best and nicest people on the planet from their TV shows. I never seen an Aus Show that they treated anyone with Disrespect. They are so encouraging.. Gotta Love Them.!!!
It has been a sad time. Hopefully this whole SOPA and PIDA ends quick. If NOT I am devastated. As I am sure you and your followers.. Me being one!!!

Thank you so much for all the hard work you've been putting in over the years. I've been home sick for a very long time and this site got me true a lot of hours of pain when recovering from operations. I hope the dust settles soon for so things get easier for you. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I remember, once upon a time, losing this link, and not being able to remember it. I went through hours wracking my brain to re-find it, just because I loved it so much. I can't remember how many years ago this was, but since then, this website has been a constant.
I know that videos of future shows might not be able to be uploaded, but I do have a suggestion. Perhaps just writing about them? I know that I came to your site, not just for videos, but for information on the next reality tv show coming out, new, or a new season.

I've had many entertaining moments watching the vids that you, so laboriously have uploaded. I thank you very much for that and admire you for persevering! For the moment, it is what it is and neither you or us can change that. I'll stick around and watch whatever you can share with us! So, cheers for new "megavideo" sites emerging and for everybody to be able to freely share culture

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks! Been waiting so long for the new season of TBLAus and I just cancelled my cable last week too. I guess I can quite checking every 5 min to see if the last episode is up. lol What am I going to do now?

Just to clear it up – no more dailymotion uploads but all currently airing shows will be concluded – so The Biggest Loser Aus will still be posted (it's running late today but that's unrelated, hope to have it posted in the next few hours), just not in the usual dailymotion format.

Just wanted to add my thanks. I discovered SCD here & cannot watch it via the BBC website as they don't allow viewing in the US. Sometimes I can find it on other links, but I prefer watching shows here! All the best!

It is still coming guys, promise. Just having issues because the regular torrent hasn't been released so links aren't available – unrelated to any of the changes here and it should be up just as fast as normal every day!
