you're living up to your name Miss Sherlock
….. greetings from Watson hahaha, just kidding, it's only me…. now i'm using chrome, so going to see if the same problem is here too, just gotta find where the extras, addons, plugins are, cause I haven't a CLUE what you mean LOL
February 9th, 2012 at 6:48 pm
ughhh you'll laugh now… so did all you said for firefox, had to reboot computer, came back onto this page, and now I can see a "putlocker" video, which always works fine on Chrome, so I did all that for nothing…. good for future reference thought, so thanks
February 9th, 2012 at 7:39 pm
yeah, had to reboot because I shocked the computer when I tried to close my yahoo inbox, facebook, facebook games, jigzone jigsaw game all at once hahahahaha hence it didn't want to open again
…….. i think FAN is doing a fantastic job, she knows that if she's ever over here in sunny Tenerife, it's paella at my place hehehe…. oh, you've just reminded me, i better reactivate shockwave
February 9th, 2012 at 10:24 pm
@ Chifleta: You + Tenerife + paella= me booking a flight. XD Not too far from Düsseldorf, so be warned, lol!
Is it just me or is the Australian TBL version once again miles better than the US Version this season? I mean, yes Adrian didn't know when to keep his mouth shut and he was as aggravating as nails on a chalkboard, but he also had a point. He never WAS given a chance.
I just cannot warm up to the contestants this year. You knew from day one that they would push Chism straight into the finale and he has Bob's almost undivided attention. So I find it hard to root for someone who already has the winner's edit. Dito Cassandra.
And I am disgusted by people like Conda and Kim and a good number of other people in both teams. I am also increasingly annoyed by Bob who nowadays just want to win. If you don't deliver the numbers (Gayle!), you are deadwood that screws up his team's weigh-in results.
I thoroughly enjoy the Australian edition. On the other hand if I wasn't able to watch the US version anymore, I don't think I would be bothered all that much. And it has been like that for a couple of seasons now.
Having said that: Goodbye Adrian, goodbye Adrian's red velvet dinner jacket… and goodbye Adrian's silk cravat. HILARIOUS! XD

I think this seasons US version is much better than last season, or even the one with Bratt and Scary. Adrian was *horrible*. The elimination was downright scary, I thought he was going to attack someone. He was boasting and strutting; even Dolvette said he doesnt listen. He sowed his own grave.
I find the weigh-ins very nerve-wracking. Not sure who is going to win, whereas last season you knew Bob was going to win week after week, and John was a horrible, unlikeable winner.
I thought Kim did a great job this week. The Reds really did lose a lot of weight under her leardership, and that is a heck of a lot of pressure to endure. She made up for her thoughtless week 2 wager
But it's pretty sad that the male-dominated red team couldn't hold onto that rope as long as black could. Maybe it was the height differential? Maybe that wouldn't matter. I liked Bob's reaction when he thought he was gonna tank too haha
I just gotta know who the heck is the warddrobe assistant for Dolvette. He looks ridiculous every week! This one was the worst. Did someone drape a curtain around his neck? What the heck was that? And Bob's hair is out of control.

This season is better than last. That said, it's still downhill from what it used to be. I used to practically fall in love with a few of the contestants but no more. It's like they're going out of their way to show everyone's bad side and yes, that includes Bob. Can't believe he changed that much in a few months though. I suspect he and Dolvett were told to play up the competition between them to make things more interesting. Get a little meaner to make up for the lack of Jillian. But we fans were happy with nice caring Bob.

I believe the trainer of the winner of the show gets a $100,000 bonus. Maybe it became all about the money for Bob? I miss his kind warm side too. Now that he's all in black he's realy dark and unlikable. I always kinda liked him as a trainer. I always felt that if I had to chose between him and Jillian I'd like Jillian as a friend but Bob would be the trainer for me (regardless of the feeling he gives me that when he doesn't need you, he doesn't need you around). At least he was a motivating trainer. Now he's just scary.

I like Adrien and his sister. They sort of remind me of me (so far from what I've seen). While I'm more like Daphne… i.e. I know to keep my mouth shut, I'm also a bit like Adrien in the sense that if someone disrespects me or knocks me down I will not stand for it! I just have too much respect for myself to be disrespected like he is by the red team but really primarily by Conda.
I also see the glaring difference between this and the Aussie versions. I love Shannan and Commando…
and I like the 2 girl trainers! I find I care about the contestants' journey and I do cheer them on. This last episode where Lydia named her demons I had hope for her that she'd beat them! Even if she's not one of my faves I hope she can become a better person
I do miss this show when it's over too!
On the American version there's nothing and noone to like. The host is good but not as warm as Hayley. The contestants for the most part are bland OR nasty manipulators (*cough* Conda *cough*). I know they cast these people for drama… hoping to draw in viewers. But I know I'd much rather watch a group of nice, kind people make progress in the struggle to lose weight then hear Conda's toxicity. Her non-stop snides at Adrien were so unprofessional and childlish. I cannot believe this girl is a MOTHER! It gets to a person tho… to always overhear your name being disrespected. I'm glad Adrien stood up to them, I'm glad he even exited a different way and I liked his cravat because he was an individual and not a sheep
I hope his charity suceeds.
As to what Dolvet said…yes Adrien has listening problems but Dolvet may be biased. He only worked his guy out for a week, while the rest for 5 weeks… he's more attached to them and their words have more value to him.

Argh! This was the most frustrating episode! Mark complaining about Adrian's weight loss was ridiculous. So what if he only lost 2lbs his first week in the house? The other contestants only had such big numbers because up until that point they had lived a sedentary, junk-food filled lifestyle. Adrian had been working out at home for weeks to get back in the house. And Chism, Mark's SON, only lost 2lbs that same weigh-in.
I definitely didn't like Adrian's attitude but he was right, he wasn't given a chance.
And there are no words to describe how much I detest Conda. I was hoping Adrian would be the biggest loser and they would vote her out…

What kind of name is Chism? It sounds like some kind of painful spotty rash.
Oh good grief I just googled it……wish I hadn't – see the Urban dictionary! :X
Ugh…*shudder*…moving right along.
These people are, generally speaking, SO unlikeable with all their whooping, bitching, eye- rolling, threatening to leave, neck waggling….
You have to wonder what kind of criteria, apart from their weight issues, they have to meet to get a place on the show.
Having said that there are a few I quite like. Best of an unpleasant bunch though.
Adrian didn't listen…exactly as everyone said. It looked to me like any time anyone spoke to him he was busy formulating what he was going to say next. Hope he does well at home though. He has a lovely family

now that made me PMSL Annie too funny….
oh, and MissSherlock, I make a wicked minimum fat paella, feeds six people (LOL well, only if you're all on a diet) and I only use 1 teaspoon of olive oil for the whole thing
…. hubby makes an even better paella, but his "i've only put a drop of oil in" is a bit of an understatement LOL
February 10th, 2012 at 3:57 pm
Good point. Feeling like Dolvett got his glory may very well have ramped up the competition. That said, I do wonder how much we see of the real people and how much is the character they play. I believed Bob was kind and caring and Jillian was mean. LOL But perhaps not.
February 10th, 2012 at 4:04 pm
I agree on every point but the cravat.
This is why I watch the UK version, low budget as it may be. The contestants are nice, they are real, they care very much was happens to each other.
February 10th, 2012 at 9:20 pm
@ Annie & Chifleta: LMAO! You guys have me in stitches! XD Thanks for the chuckle.
Chifleta, I can just picture your hubby and his liberal interpretation of a "drop". XD
Oh, and Annie? I did of course go to the Urban Dictionary looking up Chism – and learned a new phrase (I am not a native speaker): PENIS BUTTER. XD
At first I thought that poor Chism's parents had just gotten the spelling wrong: Because it is actually spelled SCHISM and refers to the devide between religous group or churches. Isn't Chism's dad a minister? You would think he knows how to spell it, lol!
But then I noticed on the Wiki page that the boy's real name is ISAAC and "Chism" is just his nickname!
So I guess we can take bets if he got his nickname from the Urban Dictionary definition for Chism or from Schism, the religious devide. A teenage boy his age? I know what MY money is on, lol! They come with their own built-in entertainment kit. XD
February 10th, 2012 at 10:00 pm
I too couldn't resist looking it up in the urban dictionary.
What a silly name! What's wrong with using Isaac?? Before googling it I kept thinking it's short for Machismo.
Dumb name, no offence Chism!

Well I will agree with yinz that Conda is a spoiled, bratty, whiny lil bitch. The way she smirks and rolls her eyes is so immature and annoying. Dolvette should toss her out of the gym a second time
But I can't agree about Adrian not being given a chance. Everytime anyone was talking or anything was happening, he wanted to make it all about himself. He even used last week's elimination as a stage to whine about himself and blah blah blah He just didn't *get it*. Anybody who comes in later has to realize they are outsiders and won't be welcomed as saviors. Adrian wouldn't take a hint. He should have recognized the hostile situation and acted accordingly, instead of getting all ghetto and confrontational and "I'm gonna check you" bullshit. He guaranteed that he wouldn't get welcomed. And out he went!

Adrian was all kinds of annoying, a very arrogant man. But he's completely right that he was never given a chance, the moment he and his sister returned to the game he was the number 1 target – with the dirty looks and snide comments. He couldn't have done ANYTHING to become accepted by the red team, so he may as well have been himself!!
February 13th, 2012 at 2:16 am
Hello – I don't normally post comments but I just wanted to point out that this is in the wrong category. Australian version? Oh, how it wishes it were!
TVFan – I'll take this chance to also say a big big thank you!! Your hard work is certainly appreciated. I've been watching the Putlocker videos and haven't had any problems so far (touch wood!). In fact, it's been working better than it did before – the video is a decent size and there's no silly "you've watched too much, get lost" messages after half an hour.
I'm glad Adrian's gone and I just hope Conda's next.
