Big Brother 8 UK – Chanelle: ‘Sex tape was publicity stunt’

Chanelle Hayes has admitted that her recent sex tape was a publicity stunt for a new TV show.

A video featuring the Big Brother 8 star cavorting around a bedroom in her underwear was leaked onto the internet last week.

The professional nature of the 40-second clip prompted commentators to suggest that it was a publicity stunt for her forthcoming debut single ‘I Want It’.

Her agent told reporters at the weekend: “All will become clear later.”

Earlier today the full-length video was released, confirming suspicions that the clip wasn’t an accidental leak.

The video featured Hayes enjoying a sexual encounter with a character from the new MTV puppet comedy series Fur TV.

A spokesperson for the reality TV star said: “It was a bit of fun and a great publicity stunt.”

Big Brother 8 UK – O’Leary: ‘Last summer was brutal’

Dermot O’Leary has explained his decision to quit Big Brother after seven years.

The presenter announced in November that his involvement with the show will come to an end after he hosts E4’s Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack next month.

He revealed that he had struggled to keep up with the hectic schedule when working on both BBLB and The X Factor earlier this year.

He said: “I’m leaving because last summer, it was absolutely brutal, to be honest. I loved working on both The X Factor and Big Brother’s Little Brother, but I had literally three days off in the whole summer.

“And I think both the shows suffered a little bit as a result. And I’m not going to do Big Brother for ever, so I thought it was time to make that choice now. I thought that I could have my cake and eat it, and really I couldn’t.”

Big Brother Celebrity Hijack – James and Matthew to host.

James Corden and Matthew Horne will front Big Brother’s Big Mouth when it returns in January.

The actors proved a popular choice when they hosted the show for a week during the summer, and have now been made full-time comperes during E4’s Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack next month.

They were actually one of my favourite guest presenters during Big Brother 8, it certainly helps that Matthew is hot, but I think they really suit the style of the show and I am pleased to hear they will be back for Celebrity Hijack.

Well done lads.

Big Brother 8 UK – Chanelle blasted by ‘Wannabe’ hopefuls.

Hopefuls who auditioned for Chanelle Hayes’ new TV project Wannabe have claimed that she does not deserve to be on the judging panel.

The Big Brother 8 star has been helping to form a new over-25s girlband for the show, which airs on music channel VH1.

However, Chanelle’s presence on the judging panel has been criticised by some potential contestants. Producers also faced embarrassment when only 18 people turned up for the Leeds auditions.

“I don’t think Chanelle is really old or experienced enough to be judging such a competition,” Sarah Jayne March, 31, explained. “She might be good from a fashion point of view but what does she know about music and what voices would sound good together in a band?”

Another contestant, who did not want to be named due to fear of ruining her chances, told the Daily Star Sunday: “I don’t really know who she thinks she is. I don’t see what qualifications she has to be a music judge. What gives her the right to tell us that we can’t even sing? She isn’t even a real celebrity. Being the obsessive one on Big Brother was not something to be proud of.”
