My annual summer vacation rental seems like a lifetime away still. As I look outside right now at the fog, rain and snow – I really can’t wait until June when I can head for a relaxing few days in the sun

I just saw the funny vacation rental commercial at Vacation Rental.org which is what has made me yearn for my trip away. The video features the rather inept superhero ‘UNITARD’ getting caught on camera trying to stop a family from making a mistake in booking an expensive hotel room when they could rent out an entire apartment for a similar price!

They even monitor a sites uptime and display it in a graph!

Keeping up with the Kardashians

Even if you have never seen Keeping up with the Kardashians, as a reality TV fan you can’t have failed to hear of the Kardashian family – Khloe appeared in the last season of The Celebrity Apprentice and her sisters have appeared in several reality shows.

Khloe has always felt like the ‘fat’ sister and last year decided to do something about it, losing 25 pounds over the course of the summer. Here’s what she had to say:

“When I was a chunky little 8-year-old and I had these two beautiful sisters, I’d wonder, why don’t I look like that?” Khloe recalls. “Now I hate it when people compare me to my sisters. Kourtney’s 5 feet, I’m 5-foot-10 and Kim is 5-foot-2. I will never look like them. No matter how skinny I am, that body will never be mine.”

She looked fine to me before the weight loss and she looks fine after it, I’ve never looked at Khloe and thought she was fat – but I suppose the pressure on celebrities to be skinny is 100 times worse than it is on us mere mortals.

I’m not a fan of diet pills and miracle cures, I think we should all know from shows like The Biggest Loser that weight loss is possible without them – through a good diet and keeping active. But if people really feel they need help I think it makes sense to use something like xenical or Alli that aim to aid weight loss – so that for every few pounds you lose on your own another pound will be lost thanks to the effects of the pills because they help your body absorb less fat.
