Ready for the rematch?

So tell me, do I have any boxing fans in the house? I wouldn’t call myself the worlds biggest fan, but having lived with a flat mate a few years ago who would call himself the worlds biggest fan I picked up some pretty serious knowledge of all things boxing.

I remember watching the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight back in 2004, right when I first started paying attention to boxing, my flat mare was almost wetting himself with excitement at the end about how brilliant a match it had been where Pacquiao knocked Marquez to the ground three times right at the start of the featherweight championship fight only to have Marquez make a come back and end up with a split draw.

As a big fan I am sure he already knows this, but I need to call him to tell him - the rematch is on - set to take place in Las Vegas on March 15th 2008 Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao will once again fight Juan Manuel Marquez. It’s set to air on payperview HBO which I am sure he’s going to be already signed up for, but I am sure he’d love to be able to get pacquiao vs marquez tickets to actually be at the big event.

City Hotel Guides

HotelsByCity.net is a great online resource with over 500 city guides for places all over the world, from America and Europe to Australia and China, the guides are all hand written by people who clearly know the city they are talking about. It’s a great way to find places to visit, to find Cheap Hotels when you get there and arrange all of your activities and entertainment for your trip and even decide where to eat. Plus they have a number of helpful guides and tips on a whole myriad of topics including traveling with pets!

Knowing Manchester pretty well myself I decided to use it as a ‘test’ search to see how good the site really is, and let me tell you…it’s pretty good. The write up of the city really sells it and highlights it’s great points and covers most of the main tourist attractions worth seeing while you are there. The search facility is easy to use and I had no problems finding a great list of available hotels to choose from, with every detail imaginable available - including viewing the location on a map in one simple click - I already feel like I am there!

I’m definitely going to be using this site for information and bookings in the future.

An interesting MetaCafe channel

Tonight, while surfing the video upload sites for new sources on some of the recently removed youtube videos/channels I came across Mohamad Zein's Channel and I am glad I did. There’s some really interesting videos on there, you have to watch the 3D drawings video, some of the images in it are awesome. I also love the Japanesegame video, remember this years Big Brother Australia had Travis, Zach, Billy and Alisha doing the same thing in the final Friday Night Games? That was like my highlight of the series

High Definition TV

I am not fortunate enough to own a high definition TV at the moment, but my other half has one and it’s an absolute joy to watch, so getting a flat screen HD TV for myself is definitely something I plan to do in 2008. I will definitely visit tvandvideodirect.com when the time comes for me to start the search! The Stone Hawk Rehabilitation Center

You know, it’s just a simple fact of life that some times people get themselves into trouble with addictions and find that they need help from professionals to help see them through it. It seems to be a fate that befalls a lot of Reality TV stars, it’s sad to think how many time you read stories a few years on about what some of those guys have been getting up to. I suppose that it comes from either being ‘hated’ by an entire nation after appearing on a show, or suddenly finding this fame….only to have it taken away again just as quickly. Thankfully there are some really great drug rehab facilities out there to help these guys out, such at the Stone Hawk Rehabilitation Center which is located in south central Michigan.
