RealityTVFan.org has a new feature called Ask Admin, it is basically a public questions and answers area. The idea being that before people contact me privately they can check to see if their question is already answered, and if the answer to the question they have will benefit others they can ask it there rather than in private. Hopefully this will mean I have to spend less time answering the same questions over and over. Give it a try :)

CYDCOR Launches Volunteer Day

I am going to share a press release with you that I happened upon a while ago, it is from Cydcor, a company that outsources sales teams, that has just launched a new initiative that encourages their team members to do volunteer work in their local communities. Please read the press release below for full details.

CYDCOR Launches Volunteer Day

CYDCOR, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams, has introduced CYDCOR Cares - Volunteer Day, a new internal program to encourage team members to get more involved in their local communities*

Westlake Village, CA (PRWEB) April 26, 2008 — CYDCOR, the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams, has introduced CYDCOR Cares - Volunteer Day, a new internal program to encourage team members to get more involved in their local communities.

The company’s new CYDCOR Cares Volunteer Day benefit provides eight hours paid time off annually to its team members, giving them the opportunity to donate their time and talents to non-profit, community or charitable organizations of their choice.

“CYDCOR is dedicated to giving back and getting involved with charitable causes - it is food for our company’s soul,” said Gary Polson, chief executive officer for CYDCOR. “The success of our company can be measured, in part, by looking at how we can contribute to the well-being of the community, and we want to encourage our team members to get involved in causes they are passionate about.”

Volunteer Day extends CYDCOR’s culture of community involvement. Since 2007, CYDCOR has maintained a relationship with Casa Pacifica, a residential treatment facility in Camarillo for abused, neglected and emotionally disturbed children. Employees have helped organize its community donations, and CYDCOR recently donated $2,500 to support the Casa Pacifica’s programs.

Rate pix at pixornix.com

Let me tell you about a site I stumbled upon earlier today, though I warn you…only continue reading if you have an hour or two or three to spare when you get as hooked on the site as I did!

At PixOrNix.com you can not only view but also rate images and view the ones chosen as the best in any particular category and you can even upload your own pictures to be rated by others. The site claims you can rate pictures of almost any thing so I wanted to try this out and did some really random searches.

Broccoli - Check
Skin - Check
Carpet - Check
Lipstick - Check

Yup, they really weren’t exaggerrating were they?

One of my favourite things to look at pictures of is Fireworks, so I spent a long time rating pictures on Firework.PixorNix.com. I don’t even know what it is about fireworks, but I love them and Bonfire night is my second favourite ‘holiday’, after the mighty Christmas. So looking through all those awesome pictures got me really excited for the three firework displays I am going to be going to over the next few weeks. I have oodles of great firework pictures myself already, so I am going to pick out my favourites and add them to the site for others to rate :)

Mmm wine tasting

Has any one been watching the second series of The Restaurant that airs on Wednesday and Thursday nights? It’s a great little hidden gem of a reality show, a little more classy and high brow than the likes of Big Brother — I love watching people with an actual talent vying for a life changing prize, rather than no marks vying for money and z-list stardom!

There’s been some real clangers from these guys though, imagine giving £4 bottles of wine to Oxford Dean’s who are used to vintage £200 bottles. Or having to raid the cellar of your private house dinner party clients because you run out. Oh Deary!

Not that I can claim to know anything about wine, I am certainly no connoisseur…but then I am also not a budding restaurant owner so that’s OK.

I think some of the current contestants could do with visiting Just Grapes Chicago wine tasting bar to brush up on their knowledge and skills! At Just Grapes they have fully automated tasting facilities where people can go along and try before they buy, or just try because they want to try ;) Great for individuals but also could be a lot of fun for group events such as bachelorette parties!

Let Inner 8 help you!

Interested in investing? Yeah, me either really — my brother has been doing his stocks and shares and investments since he was a young man — I think he used his entire first ever pay cheque to buy shares in some start up company at the time, he’s been quite successful at it overall too. I’ve always been too cautious to get into it, I am a cautious person in general about…well…pretty much everything, but I am especially so with my hard earned money!

With the state of the world economy at the moment though, maybe it’s time to rethink. Having everything you own sitting in one bank right now, doesn’t seem nearly as appealing as it used to a few years ago!

Inner 8 is an up and coming investment related site — a sort of social network for investors to share their knowledge, discuss their options and aid in optimising their investing goals and results. They also offer powerful analytic tools. It’s completely free to join the site and create your own profile. Once registered with Inner 8 you can make a start on finding other investors to make professional and mutually beneficial connections with.

So really, you have nothing to lose on this one and everything to gain.

Planning a golf trip?

My other half wants to take up golfing, golfing is great as a hobby because it gets you out of the house and getting some exercise, but boy can it be an expensive hobby…so I have told him he’ll have to wait a while, as we can’t afford a new expensive hobby at the moment :P

If we ever have a windfall, such as a lottery win (please please please please please!), I will totally go out and buy him all the best quality golfing gear and book him a Las Vegas Golf trip!

At Waltersgolf.com you can take a pretty neat ‘tour’ of 3 of their courses the Bali Hai Golf Club, the Desert Pines Golf Club and the Royal Links Golf Club. The Bali Hai club looks amazing don’t you agree? That one is my favourite :)
