Buzz: Fly me Mars…

…actually flying me to New York would do, I am a little scared of Mars now after last nights episode of Doctor Who! There are many things I would like to do in New York of course, it’s a tourists paradise with so many famous landmarks to see and experiences to, well, experience.

banana_shpeelTop of my New York wish list at the moment though would be ticket to see the new Cirque De Soleil show – Banana Shpeel! I blogged about it last month and wanted to see it then, now that I have seen adverts for it on the television and various places online I really want to see it.

It’s a crazy, intense, non stop roller coaster ride and follows the tale of a producer, an actor and a beautiful maiden – there are many other strange and interesting characters along the way including the mysterious Banana Man – who despite the image in my head probably isn’t the 1980s cartoon superhero that I grew up watching (showing my age here, huh?).

I keep entering contests online to win trips to New York, I am determined to win won one day!

Please do follow the link above to learn more about Banana Shpeel yourself :)

Crazy Banana Shpeel!

I’ve wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil show for years, ever since I saw a brief clip of them on TV — so it was great to see them again last week taking part in the photoshoot on America’s Next Top Model, they were masked and throwing some awesome shapes on the ropes and it made for a great shoot.

This prompted me to do a little searching online to see if they were up to anything new and I came across information about the new Cirque du Soleil Banana Shpeel show!

It looks awesome. Fact.

It’s a lot crazier and intense than your usual Cirque du Soleil show and follows the tale of an unpleasant producer and his manipulations of a young actor – the young actor meets many zany characters along the way including ‘Banana Man’ who is a bit of a mystery to us at the moment.

Take a peak at the video below for more insights into the new show:

The show opens in November in Chicago and you can buy your tickets now.

One of these days I will win the lottery and get to head to the states to see them perform up close and personal, I am sure I will.
