CBS has announced that it has renewed Big Brother for a 12th season, which will most likely air next summer.
Big Brother’s current 11th season has averaged 7.08 million total viewers, a 2.5/08 rating/share in the Adults 18-49 demographic and a 2.0/07 rating share among Adults 18-34 throughout its three times a week schedule.
Compared to last years tenth season, the figures show a 7% increase in total viewers, 4% among Adults 18-49 and 5% among Adults 18-34.
In addition, CBS’ website broke all previous records when 11.6 million home viewer votes went to Jeff Schroeder who was awarded the “Coup d’Etat” power earlier this summer.
Big Brother’s two-hour eleventh-season finale and reunion show will air live on Tuesday, September 15 at 9PM ET/PT and feature the season’s three remaining houseguests — battling for the $500,000 grand prize.
